How does the photo booth work?+
It’s super fast and easy! Guests walk up to the open-air kiosk, tap the vibrant touchscreen to start, grab props, and pose. Depending on your chosen experience, guests can capture photos, custom GIFs, Boomerangs, or Live Video Guestbook messages, then instantly receive their digital media via SMS, Email, or QR Code.
How do I lock in my date?+
Securing your date takes just a couple of minutes right here on our booking page! Choose your package, select any desired add-ons, fill out your event details, sign your digital rental agreement, and submit your deposit to instantly lock your date on our calendar.
Can we customize the photo layout and border design?+
Absolutely! Every booking includes a custom-designed graphic overlay tailored to your event. We pre-program your wedding monogram, corporate logo, event name, or brand colors directly onto the photo layout so every capture is uniquely yours.
How do guests receive their photos during and after the event?+
Instantly! Guests can send captures directly to their smartphones on-site using SMS/Text, Email, or instant QR Code scanning. For print packages, lab-grade physical prints drop into the tray in under 9 seconds. After the event, you will also receive a link to a full, private online web gallery containing every photo, GIF, and video recorded during your celebration.
How much space and power does the booth require?+
Our sleek open-air booth features a compact footprint! We recommend an 8' x 8' space to allow plenty of room for guests, a backdrop, and optional prop tables. All we need from the venue is access to a standard 120V electrical outlet within 15–20 feet of the setup area.
Are you insured for major venues in Ottawa and Gatineau?+
Yes! D² Captures carries a $2,000,000 Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance policy. If your venue requires a Certificate of Insurance (COI) prior to setup, simply let us know and we will send it directly to your event coordinator.
How early do you arrive for setup?+
Our team arrives approximately 45 to 60 minutes prior to your contracted start time to complete full delivery, assembly, lighting calibration, and system testing. Setup and takedown times are completely on us and do not count against your active rental hours!
What is your cancellation and refund policy?+
If cancellations are made within 14 days of the event - All retainers and payments used to hold your event date are non-refundable, as we lock that time slot specifically for you and decline other potential bookings. However, if your plans change, we offer flexible rebooking options to transfer your payment toward a future date!
Can I change or reschedule my event date after booking?+
Yes! If you notify us at least 14 days prior to your scheduled event, 100% of your payment can be transferred to a new date within 12 months (subject to availability).
What happens if I need to adjust my event times or package details?+
You can request changes to your start time, setup window, or add-ons up to 7 days prior to your event through your client portal or by contacting us directly. We do our best to accommodate.
